That ol' days in black and white
This is some kind of a "divertimento" for quartet of clarinets, based on rhythms and styles found in the old movies and TV series of the 50's.

This is a bunch of four quite traditional pieces I wrote, based on Latin American rhythms for a trio of flute, violoncello and piano. The Samba is the most typical Brazilian dance.

Windsor, Saturday the 30th of April. The Changing of the Guard with the Band of the Scots Guards with a guest cornet player who caught all the attention and was greeted with warm applause by the audience. By the way, the band played almost all my favourite marches: To your Guard, Arromanches, Arnhem and Carry On. What a treat! With "Bravura" it would have been a full house but you can't have it...

Windsor. Tuesday the 28th of April. Changing of the Guard. I must confess that I didn't know what to expect from the 2nd Battalion The Princess of Wales Royal Regiment Corps of Drums, but I had a most pleasant time watching them parade and playing nice music. This is a group of proud and elegant soldiers marching and playing with great dignity and they deserve our respect and gratitude. They ha...

Monday 24 of April in Windsor. Changing of the Guard. Bank holiday. A million people on the street. That's why I only could catch a smaller glimpse of the Band of the Welsh Guards. It is not a long video but we can appreciate some remarkable piccolo playing by the two flutists in the band. I hope you enjoy it.
Life Guards in Windsor

The Band of the Life Guards. This was my first attempt to record a parade in Windsor and I'm afraid the pictures are not all too interesting but the music is very good. This is a very good band. Besides, we can see a Band Corporal Major apparently intrigued with the cameraman, a very young band conductor (I presume, the Bandmaster) and a rather talkative RSM. I hope you enjoy the music.

Changing of the Guard at Windsor. The Band of the Coldstream Guards. Ladies and Gentlemen: this is a CONCERT band. Please, listen to the transition to "mezzoforte subito" from 4:08 and then we talk. I'm a Blues and Royals fan but this musicians can play too, and HOW. I hope you enjoy. Forgive the somewhat erratic camera angles and some unconventional music cuts.
Blues and Royals in Windsor

I just spent some days in Windsor for my Birthday and to watch the Changing of the Guard. I'd hoped to see my favorites, the Blues and Royals and, although they weren't active inside my original travel schedule, a little tweaking with flight and accommodation gave me the extra day to admire them, looking great and playing wonderful music. I missed one of the players, though. Maybe for my next B...

Bands of GB's military are outstanding with one exception, they dont memorize their music
I had a small seizure because of the camera
Why the aussie in the band .?

Forgive me if I'm wrong but do you have to learn an instrument just to be a soldier? Where are the guns at?
Sergeant Neill Lawman, 1st Battalion Welsh Guards leading The Band of the Welsh Guards

Brandon king There are guard changes every day and it's a bit early for the tourists to be milling around. The local folks are out doing their shopping (probably)

I have to say again the British military marching band is D best in the world !!!
The best there is : The Coldstream Guards Band 👍👍👍
Second to None!
Right !!
Perfect best Drummers in the world the British lnfantary ,me ex 1st Battalion Royal Anglian Regt Viking Bass Drummer ,
What March are they playing at 5:27
Avery Cano - the band is playing from way before 5:27 but it's HM Jollies
+Kathleen Kehoe, it's a blue plume, not green but you're right he is Irish Guards Drom Major, Thw Welsh Guards Drum Major more than Likely was on a course or on operational tour. It happens often in the regimental bands as they are not entirely front line troops, unless there's a war. The Drum Majors are pretty interchangeable.I was in the Coldstream Guards for fifteen years though not in the regimental band but as an infantry soldier.
why is there a Irish drum Magor 38 seconds into the video he's Irish because has the green feather on his bareskin
the Irish Guards have a blue plume not green feather
5.35 Carry On
I hope the lads woke up this deadbeat town.
go on 2 pwrrr!
Thank you so much for doing this for us we all do enjoy beautiful music may God bless you. The British military band's are just so incredible !!!
what is as the song at 1:09
Eagle squadron
Awwww "Bandmaster" :) he'd have liked that remark.
Why? I presumed he might have been, because he looked very young to me, but if he was the director of music then I was wrong. No offence intended.
@jadesmith I don't believe you guys wear this exact uniform because there is only one band in the US that wears the tunics that are made in England. The Liberty High School Grenadier Band is the only ones that have permission to wear these uniforms in the states so you might have something similar but not exact to the guards across the pond. The band has permission from the queen. If I remember correctly your C of D has more maroon then red tunics.
This sounds great Marc.....Well get this on a performance soon....thanks for posting.
That's the biggest compliment coming from you, Nigel. I'm so glad you liked it a little. Thank you so much.
Did just I see a Coldstream musician in the ranks ?
5:35
the march at 3:49 is Alte Kameraden!
This is a great video, thanks.
Thank you for your comment. BTW, it's the guards who are great. I just show them at work. :)
Very ugly coats! :D
They're pretty much the same coats that were worn in the Crimean War. I personally think it looks far better with the webbing that was worn in the 1950s.
What is the march at 5.35?
"Carry On", by Herbert Winson.
What is the name of the march at 6:06? It's realy a good march!!
The march is "Colchester Castle", composed by Earl Brigham, and I agree with you: it's a great march.
geen idee........maar mooie mars :)
Colchester castle
Not that bad tbh
Why did they stop issuing full dress uniforms to the troops? Why do they use no.1 uniforms as parade uniforms?
